Ekphrasis

The assignment was to choose a classical music piece an ekphrasis for it- a work of art that represented the music.
The song was Olivier Messiaen's "Celebration of the Beautiful Waters" composed on the Ondes Martenot. If I feel like it later, I'll go into detail about why this art is a good representation of the song, but it's kind of a long explanation. If you feel like reading about the composer, you might be able to figure it out.

The medium is black ballpoint pen ink (bic pens, to be specific) diluted with rubbing alcohol, with a little white gesso and acrylic paint added to clean and brighten up the dove.
